SMF Capital is a UK recruitment firm specialising in Senior Manager Function (SMF) appointments at FCA and PRA-regulated firms. We recruit compliance officers (SMF16), MLROs (SMF17), combined compliance officer and MLRO roles, CFOs, chief risk officers, chief executives, chairs and non-executive directors. We work with banks and building societies, payments and e-money institutions, wealth and investment managers, insurers, consumer credit firms and cryptoasset businesses. Our services cover permanent, interim and fractional appointments, urgent cover when a Senior Manager leaves, and the senior team needed for a new FCA authorisation. Every candidate is assessed against the FCA’s fit and proper test before shortlisting, and we support firms through regulatory references and the approval process. SMF Capital was founded by Adrian Lawrence FCA, a Chartered Accountant and former listed-company Finance Director, and is part of FD Capital Group, with offices in London and the West Midlands.
