Building a strong Diamond Dynasty roster is less about chasing every new card and more about finding players who solve real lineup problems. The 2026 Postseason Series adds three ninety-nine overall Red Diamond options with very different strengths: a switch-hitting corner infielder, a power arm for the rotation, and a speedy contact bat. If you're planning your next roster move, MLB 26 stubs may be part of that plan, but it's worth weighing each card's role before deciding where your team needs help most.

Ramirez gives the lineup options

Jose Ramirez is the easy choice when your lineup needs a dependable bat from either side of the plate. His card has 113 contact against left-handed pitching and 108 power against lefties, so he can do more than put the ball in play. He also brings the Dead Red, Unfazed, and Bad Ball Hitter quirks. Those traits suit an aggressive approach, especially when an opponent leans on fastballs or tries to work around the edges. Keep him at third base if the defense fits; move him to designated hitter when you want his bat without changing the field.

Williams can steady the rotation

Gavin Williams fills a different need. His 125 strikeouts per nine innings rating gives him real swing-and-miss potential, while a 112 hits per nine innings rating helps limit clean contact. The card pairs velocity with a mix of fastballs and breaking pitches, giving you more than one way to attack a hitter. Strong control and stamina matter, too. You'll want to vary location and pitch selection rather than rely on raw speed every time. Used with care, Williams has the profile of a starter who can take pressure off the bullpen and hold a lead deep into a game.

Palacios adds speed and flexibility

Richie Palacios is the contact-and-speed pick, with value beyond his primary second-base role thanks to his outfield eligibility. He posts 121 contact against right-handed pitching and 125 against lefties, giving you a useful option when the opposing starter creates a tough matchup for other hitters. His speed and base-stealing ability can turn a single into a scoring chance, while strong vision helps him work through plate appearances. For a quick roster comparison: Ramirez brings switch-hitting power at third; Williams offers strikeouts and innings from the mound; Palacios supplies contact, speed, and extra defensive coverage.

Build around the gap you need to fill

A sensible order depends on your current squad. 1) Add Ramirez if you need a middle-of-the-order bat who can handle either-handed pitching. 2) Choose Williams when your rotation lacks a starter with strikeout potential and enough stamina to work late. 3) Bring in Palacios if you want a high-contact leadoff option or more flexibility across the infield and outfield. There's no need to force all three into the same plan; start with the weakest spot and fit the others around it. As you weigh roster upgrades, cheap MLB 26 stubs can be one consideration, while role, lineup balance, and the way you play should guide the final call.
