The LFIM® mask offers respiratory and facial protection against toxic gases, smoke and fragments released during fires or explosions of Li-Ion batteries and cells and is designed as an intervention and rescue mask for first responders and emergency response personnel during a Li-Ion fire.
In addition, it can also offer protection for the same situations to employees who work professionally in sectors where Li-Ion batteries and cells are maintained, charged or stored.
It is assumed that companies have a basic level of self-reliance. This is guaranteed by the presence of safety and extinguishing equipment and a company emergency response officer (BHV'er) or BHV organization. They are responsible for carrying out initial interventions, organizing evacuations and undertaking rescue attempts while waiting for the arrival of professional emergency services.
