Water Creations Swim Academy (WCSA) is a family-run swim school and STA Approved Training Centre based in Hertfordshire, teaching babies, toddlers, children and adults to swim with warmth, patience and a genuine love of the water. Lessons run from three private-school pools: St Edmund's College in Ware, Heath Mount School in Watton-at-Stone, and Queenswood in Brookmans Park. WCSA began as a small weekend teaching hobby run by founder Cory Abrahams and grew into a family-run academy now co-run with his mother and co-director, Gemma Abrahams, who left a career in imports and exports to help build the business. What started as Cory & Syd Swim School in February 2019 became Water Creations later that same year, and the academy has been teaching Hertfordshire families for more than seven years. Every WCSA teacher is STA and Swim England trained, with ongoing development through the academy's own STA-approved training programme, and coaches get in the water alongside each child rather than instructing from poolside. Our bespoke learn-to-swim programme guides children through preschool stages and then Levels 1-7, each carrying Beginner, Improver and Advanced milestones celebrated with certificates. Each level carries a friendly animal identity, from Turtles in Level 1 through to Orcas in Level 7, giving children a clear sense of progress, and class sizes stay deliberately small throughout so every swimmer gets close attention in the water. Certificates and swim hats are included in every lesson price, at no extra cost. Alongside weekly group lessons, WCSA offers private one-to-one and small-group coaching for swimmers who want extra support, plus school holiday swim camps for children aged [CONFIRM AGE RANGE]. For adults, WCSA runs both learn-to-swim lessons and STA teacher training courses, including the STA Level 2 Teaching qualification and the STA Baby and Pre-School award, for aspiring swim teachers aged 16 and over. Community sits at the heart of WCSA. The academy is active in water-safety education across Hertfordshire and supports non-profit swim initiatives overseas, including work in Uganda delivered through Angel Swim London, alongside a separate project in the Philippines.
