Ontop Barbers is more than just a barbershop – it’s a true community space at the heart of Epsom. Vitor, the main barber, has built a strong following among the younger generation, highlighting the positive impact he’s had locally and how much he was missed when he was out of work. Alongside Rob, they took over a struggling barbershop on Waterloo Road and completely transformed it.

Since then, the shop has had a full lift and refurbishment, breathing new life into the space and turning it into a welcoming hub where the community comes together. Ant is currently going through Ontop Barbers’ training programme, working towards becoming part of the barbering team — reflecting the shop’s commitment to developing talent from within.

Ontop Barbers works closely with local community groups and services to help build young people up, including running free training sessions and workshops for young boys with neurodiverse disabilities. These initiatives sit at the heart of what the shop stands for: confidence, inclusion and opportunity. Most recently, Ellie has joined the team on Sundays, bringing her own unique style of cuts and fades, and quickly becoming another valued part of what makes Ontop Barbers special.
