We (Dan and Lauren) started Funky Timber to bring a love for timber and an eye for design and detail to our customers’ projects. We love it when our customers achieve their dream look, and we like things to be different, less focussed on mass produced and boring projects. We’ve always thought that life is too short for boring bland identikit home, holidays or anything else, and we decided to apply the same logic to running our own business.
We have a young family and we’ve built our company around our family life, so that Dan can continue his passion for joinery with Lauren supporting in sales and marketing. Family, work life balance, quality of life, and a lovely home are all as important to us as they are to our customers. We love the autonomy, independence and the opportunity to do things our way – the funky way!
